Travel Mid-Year player placements

Scheduled annually in early February, these player placements are for new players who have moved into the Charlottesville area or players recommended by the Director of Coaching.  There may or may not be team roster spots available on specific teams.  Age eligible players need to contact the SOCA Travel Coaching staff for specific team roster availability.

For 2026, only non-VPSL and non-ECNL players are eligible for player placements in February. If you have questions about your eligibility, please contact Phil Silverman.

Notes:
Coaches are under no obligation to fill roster spots or add players to a roster at mid-year player placements. There are no fees to attend the player placements. Players may be eligible for selection to all levels of SOCA.

Age Groups/Time Slots  – 2015, 2014 (U11 & U12) Girls and Boys:  Tuesday, February 17th, 7:00pm

2013, 2012, 2011, (U13, U14, & U15) Girls and Boys: Monday, February 16th, 8:00pm

Arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to register.

Challenge Mid-year player placements

Scheduled each year in February. This player placements is intended to fill any vacancy resulting from players not returning from the fall for the spring season. The number of available roster positions in the Challenge program will not be known until just prior to the player placement. All eager candidates are welcome to attend but players should know that spots will be limited. Arrive 20 minutes early to complete a manual registration for the player placement on-site. There is no online or pre-registration for this player placement. Selections and team placements will be announced via e-mail in the week following the player placement.

Friday, February 13th @ SOCA Field House (875 Belvedere Blvd)
5:15pm – U10 Girls and Boys (2017 & 2016 Birth Years)
6:30pm – U12 Girls and Boys (2015 & 2014)
7:45pm – U15 Girls and Boys (2013, 2012, & 2011)
