SUMMER 8V8 LEAGUE, MEN’S LEAGUE

The Men’s Summer League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. Typically, the Men’s League is the most competitive summer league and it is divided into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. Play begins in early June and concludes at the end of July or early August. Matches are played during the week in the evening rather than on the weekends. Games are on modified-sized fields and the format is 8v8. One referee is used in the 8v8 format with no offside.

The Co-Recreational Summer League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. Typically, the Co-Recreational League is the least competitive summer league and it is divided into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams must have a minimum of two women on the field of play at all times. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. Play begins in early June and concludes at the end of July or early August. Matches are played during the week in the evening rather than on the weekends. Games are on modified-sized fields and the format is 8v8. One referee is used in the 8v8 format with no offside.

SOCA’s Over-40 League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area over the age of 40. Players must have turned 40 prior to the first weekend of the season to be eligible to play that season. The league is designed to give older players an opportunity to play against peers and the focus is on clean, fun, competitive play. Player experience varies from novice to experienced players. Each team determines practice requirements. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. Play begins in early June and concludes at the end of July or early August. Matches are played during the week in the evening rather than on the weekends. Games are on modified-sized fields and the format is 8v8. One referee is used in the 8v8 format with no offside.

Summer Men's Futsal @ SOCA Training Center

The international indoor soccer game of choice is a fast paced and skill driven version of the outdoor game we all love. Players are not only tested physically by the pace of the match but also technically by the naturally reduced dimensions of the indoor space. Goals are plenty and footskills are at a premium. Get your team together today!

The Men’s Futsal league is open to all men and women in Charlottesville and the surrounding area. Typically, the Men’s League is the most competitive spring league and may be broken into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams may be carried over from the winter season, or new teams may enter. Independent players should register via the code on the right.

Play begins early June and concludes early August. Games are played on Sunday evenings. All matches are held at the SOCA Training Center in Ruckersville on a traditional Futsal court surface.

The Futsal format is 5v5 including a goalkeeper, played to court lines. Modified Futsal rules will be used, with a certified referee assigned to every match. Team Roster minimum is 8 players.

Typically, the Co-Recreational League is the least competitive spring league and may be broken into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams must have a minimum of one woman on the court at all times. Teams may be carried over from the winter season, or new teams may enter. Independent players should register via the code on the right.

Play begins early June and concludes early August. Games are played on Sunday evenings on an artificial turf surface. All matches are held at the SOCA Training Center in Ruckersville.

The Futsal format is 5v5 including a goalkeeper and played to court lines. Modified Futsal rules will be used, with a certified referee assigned to every match. Team Roster minimum is 8 players.
