SOCA Travel Program
The mission of the SOCA travel program is to provide advanced development through a competitive game and team training environment. Player development takes place through elevated commitment and competition.
SOCA Travel teams represent the Charlottesville, Albemarle and broader communities within their league and at tournament and invitational events. The Travel program is the pinnacle of SOCA’s local youth programming and seeks to prepare players to compete at all levels locally, as well as for further levels within the game. Player participation requires commitment, dedication, and significant ability.

Challenge Program
To provide a safe, enjoyable soccer experience with a primary focus on player development.
The Challenge Program is an advanced recreation league, composed of players selected through a tryout process. Challenge serves eager and talented players in local programming through an appropriately competitive and challenging league environment. Players train with and play against like-minded players. Teams are formed with two primary criteria:
1 – Balancing talent across all teams in an age group or division
2 – Basing teams geographically within the Charlottesville-Albemarle area when possible.Challenge participation requires a substantial commitment from both the player and family. The program also requires high standards of behavior by all participants.

Recreational Program
The Recreation program mission is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and educational soccer experience with an emphasis on enthusiastic participation, regardless of ability. The program is inclusive and not based on results.
The SOCA Recreation program is a fun way to learn and play soccer.

Hot Shots Program
Hot Shots provides an enjoyable introduction to organized soccer through training in fundamental technique in a shared player/parent educational environment.

WISL – Winter Indoor Soccer League
5-a-side games played to official Futsal court lines. The game requires players to be skilled on the ball, quick of feet and mind. The action is fast-paced, goals are numerous, and creativity is rewarded throughout the match. SOCA is pleased to offer Charlottesville and the surrounding area a league to play this international indoor game.
All WISL matches are to be played at the SOCA Field House, SOCA’s new indoor futsal facility. The facility features four 27 x 18 yard futsal courts, or two 40 x 27 yard showcase futsal courts depending on age group and level of play. All courts are premium artificial turf and are designed specifically for safe indoor soccer play.
WISL has advanced and intermediate divisions, in order to serve all levels of interested players. Players can use this program to further their individual development or simply have fun with friends. Get your team together now and sign up for the upcoming league!
