There are no refunds after the registration deadline in June. Players commit to participating for the full year at the time of registration. Exceptions are only made for medical reasons or family relocation.

  • Leagues & Tournaments

SOCA Elite teams play in the most competitive league in the region, The Club Champions League.  CCL matches are played on Sundays with occasional make-up or travel dictated Saturday match-days.

Elite schedules include 15-game CCL league play, Virginia State Cup Competition (State Cup games typically occur on Saturdays), and Tournament/College Showcase play (U16-U19 will play a minimum of 3 fall events with at least 1 winter/spring showcase event, U13-U15’s will play 2 fall tournaments and 2 spring tournaments). Specific teams may receive invitation to participate in additional events. Players are required to attend all matches and events.

  • Training Sessions

There are three training sessions per week for U16-U19. U15 will train 3/week in fall and 2/week in spring.  U13 and U14 train twice per week with their team. Players are required to attend all sessions. U13 and U14 players will participate in Advanced Technical Development Program/age group pool training on Wednesdays as 3rd training session.

The emphasis of Elite training is on technical, tactical, physical and psychological development. Elite teams are intended to be competitive at the highest level and to prepare players for advancement beyond youth soccer.

  • High school and College Recruiting

SOCA’s U16-U19 season DOES NOT interfere or discourage players from playing high school soccer. We simply ask that these players attend team activities and the spring college showcase events which are vital for the college recruiting process.

SOCA Elite teams have a proud history of producing collegiate athletes, the program is designed to help each player reach their goals and aspirations.  SOCA staff helps guide players to appropriate aspirations and destinations, as well as helping players to manage the sometimes intimidating college recruiting process. Each player’s development as an individual is considered in conjunction with each player’s soccer objectives.
