  • Field House - Head House Project
When the Field House was built, construction was divided into two phases:

Phase 1 was the bigger phase and included the playing space and the shell of the building.  It was a $5.5 million project.  Complete!

Phase 2 includes finishing the support spaces that are essential both to the utility of the building and also the health of our organization.  The initial construction left space within the superstructure of the building to come back and build inside the shell to finish the front portion of the Field House in front of the playing field.

This will include both the mezzanine level and a new third level.  The third level will include staff offices, work space and a large meeting room.  The mezzanine will include administrative spaces and a flex space for fitness activities, social gatherings, camp enrichment activities, concessions, etc.  In total it encompasses about 8000 square feet of space.

Additionally, with the construction of the third level, the support spaces on the playing field level that have been repurposed as temporary office space will be freed up to fulfil their intended functions as a team fitness room, athletic trainer headquarters, team meeting and film work rooms, locker rooms, storage, etc.

Phase 2 cost is approximately $1.2 million.

SOCA has received a $250,000 matching grant from the Perry Foundation to help us complete the project.  The club must raise $250,000 in order to receive an additional $250,000 from the Perry Foundation.  The grant is a challenge grant and it is a 1 for 1 match of new money up to $250,000.  It is all or nothing.  In order to receive the grant SOCA must raise the full $250,000.
