Every season SOCA delivers quality soccer programming to thousands of eager players, from five year old Hot Shot beginners, to Olympic hopeful high school seniors.  This fall season more than 4,200 players took the field across all programs in both the Augusta and Charlottesville region, and each of those players is expecting to receive instruction and support in their soccer quest.

Imagine if those excited players walked out to the practice field, and there was no coach.  Imagine game day with no sideline guidance.  Imagine Hot Shots with no one to lead the fun.

SOCA is truly grateful to the 593 coaches who provided their service to youth soccer players in our club this fall.  These terrific folks devoted time, energy, and their best effort to bring joy and instruction to our players.

At different ages and different levels of play, the definition of a great coach will vary.  The needs of U8 Recreation players are very different from U16 Elite State Cup champions.  SOCA is fortunate to have fabulous coaches throughout our club, and we thank all of them for their good work.

So, we offer a sincere and hearty “Thank You” to all who volunteered and coached this season.  We are grateful for each of you.
