Elite Teams Face Busy March Schedule

March is a busy time for SOCA U15-U11 Elite teams, with back-to-back weekends slated for double match days.  If all goes according to plan, most teams will complete four league matches in nine days.

Over the March 25/26 weekend SOCA Elite teams made a road trip swing through Maryland, playing CCL club-to-club match-ups against Potomac SA on Saturday and FC Frederick on Sunday.  At Potomac, SOCA teams earned a split decision, winning five matches and losing five in closely competitive games.  After spending the night in Maryland, the SOCA squads took to the fields on Sunday, edging out host FCF with six wins against four losses.

Coming up this weekend, SOCA will play host to Maryland United on Saturday, and again will host DC Stoddart on Sunday.

SOCA teams are enjoying broad success in the highly competitive CCL, with four SOCA Elite squads presently in first place in their division (U17 Boys, U16 Boys, U14 Boys, U17 Girls).  In total, 11 SOCA Elite teams are presently in the top third of their division (places 1-5). With the full season stretching from August to May there are many games yet to play, but SOCA is poised to once again complete an enviable campaign across all age groups.
