SOCA-Charlottesville Classics Win Skyline Title

SOCA-Charlottesville Classic teams continued the club’s recent tradition of dominance in the Skyline Club Soccer League by capturing the Classic Club Champion trophy for the sixth consecutive season. The overall club championship is awarded seasonally based on cumulative points earned by all teams in the U12-U19 divisions. At the Classic level, SOCA-Charlottesville outpaced their nearest competitors by 60 points in the fall season overall tally.

Charlottesville-based Classic squads claimed three division titles by the U12 Boys Blue, U19 Boys and U12 Girls White teams. Interestingly, in the 8v8 Girls Classic Division, the U12 Girls White were followed by the SOCA-Charlottesville U12 Girls Blue and the U11 Girls Classic teams, completing a sweep of the top three places in that division.

At the Premier level, SOCA-Charlottesville teams quite consistently finished in the top half of the division standings, with the U15 Boys Premier sharing the top position in their division. SOCA-Augusta and SOCA-Charlottesville U12 Girls Premier teams shared the second spot in the Girls Premier U12 Division.

In a competitive race, SOCA-Charlottesville Premier teams finished third in the overall club standings. The breadth and depth of SOCA’s quality is evident when examining performances across three levels of play; Elite, Premier and Classic in both the Augusta and Charlottesville regions.

The club’s achievements are  attributable to its comprehensive planning, inclusive reach, and intentional development programs executed through quality coaching.  The involvement of devoted players and support from committed families is essential to the continuing success.
