SOCA Adds Administrator Sunny Herold to Staff

SOCA is pleased to announce the recent addition of Sunny Herold to the club’s staff. Sunny will take on Administrator duties where she will serve the public, support other staff and work as a key liaison to the Travel program managers.

Sunny grew up playing for SOCA, starting in the Challenge program and graduating from the U18 Elite girls program several years ago. Sonny went on to play collegiate soccer at Mary Washington University where she helped the Eagles win a conference championship in her freshman year. Sunny continues to be actively involved as a player with SOCA through the adult summer league, where she has been a regular participant.

Sunny graduated from MWU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and brings three years of local professional experience to the newly created SOCA staff position. Filling the full-time Administrator role was the final component of staff restructuring that took place throughout the first quarter of this year. With the addition of Herold, all positions are now staffed in accordance with the club’s plans.

Matt Wilson, SOCA’s Executive Director is pleased to add Ms. Herold to the team, “I’m excited to welcome Sunny to SOCA, and very glad to have her on staff. Sunny will provide excellent customer service and will be a vital link to our Travel managers. Having grown up playing in the club, Sonny has a unique perspective which will enable her to quickly acclimate to the demands of the Administrator position. She brings excellent experience and skills and I know she’ll do a great job in the new position.”

Previously, administrative tasks were capably handled by Lynda Tubridy, who had served the club as a long-time team manager, volunteer and most recently as a part-time staff member. As the club grew and administrative duties expanded a formalized Administrator position was defined in order to meet increased demands. SOCA is deeply grateful to Lynda for her valued service and is delighted to add Sunny in the new full-time position.
