The Club Championship is awarded seasonally to the club who garners the most points throughout the entire league. It is the grandest prize of the Skyline Club Soccer League. Two Club Champions will be crowned beginning in the spring of 2010. A Premier Club Champion and Classic Club Champion will be determined through club points earned by each team's performance. Club points accumulated in Classic Divisions will be tabulated separately from club points earned in Premier Divisions. Each team entered in the league may earn club points for their local association through their team's results.
In the Premier Club Championship the expectation is that the league's six biggest clubs will enter a team in every division U11-U18 boys and girls. Points will be allocated as follows in each division: 6th place - 0 points, 5th place - 2 points, 4th place - 4 points, 3rd place - 6 points, 2nd place - 8 points, 1st place - 12 points. If one or more clubs does not field a team in a premier division they will automatically earn 0 club points for that division. Club points will always be distributed based upon the 12 point scale regardless of whether a club does not field a team in a particular division.
In Classic Divisions points will be allocated with 0 points for last place and increments of two points for each place closer to first. First place teams will receive an extra two point bonus in addition to the standard two point deviation. A four team division would be tabulated as follows for example: 0, 2, 4, 8. Divisions with more teams will award more club points in Classic Divisions.
If teams tie for a position, the points are totaled and divided by the number of teams tied. In Premier Divisions, if one or more of the big six clubs does not field a team they will automatically earn 0 club points in the division. Teams from classic clubs may play up into premier divisions where a space permits. In this case, the team's club points will count towards their club's total in the Classic Club Championship. They will receive whatever points they earn through their place in the final standings plus 6 bonus points for competing in the Premier flight.
