SOCA Travel teams recently completed a successful spring campaign with the premier Express teams in the U11-U14 ages claiming an overall second place finish in the prestigious VCCL while the classic level Metro teams in the same age groups brought home top league-wide honors in the Skyline Club Soccer League for the fourth consecutive season.

At the Premier level, Express teams captured division titles at the Under-11 and Under-12 boys brackets, while the U-11 girls shared top honors in their group.  In VCCL competition, over-all club points are awarded based on team placement within each age group division.  SOCA teams demonstrated great consistency with three top finishes, two third place finishes and one fourth place among the eight divisions.  Both the SOCA boys and girls finished in second place in their gender, solidifying the over-all silver placement.  Richmond Kickers won he league crown, while SOCA placed ahead of the Richmond Strikers and the remaining five league members.

In Classic play, SOCA Metro squads continued the trend of Skyline League dominance by edging out Lynchburg United by a single point to claim the big trophy for a fourth time.  The Under-14 boys and Under-11 girls took the top spot in their divisions while every other SOCA Metro team in the league was able to place in the top three to earn over-all club points toward the championship.

This season the U-14 girls Metro team did battle in the VSLI where they finished fourth in a strong field.

With the recent completion of the huge tryout process, select teams at all levels have been solidified for the fall season.  Excitement is high as the club prepares for another year of fun and player development opportunity for its players.
