Forty Seven SOCA Recreational teams of excited youth participated in the annual Sunburn Tournament Saturday June 2 and 3 of 2007. The players braved the sun and heat on Saturday and the tropical storm on Sunday to participate in this youth recreational soccer tournament. The participant’s spirited play entertained parents and fans at The SOCA-ACAC South Fork Soccer Park and Darden Towe Park where the matches were held.
The tournament offered a little of everything with many close matches, lots of exciting goals and great competition. Many thanks go out to the volunteer coaches who lead their teams in this event. Also, thanks go out to the referees who helped the players enjoy the game of soccer.
