Summer Camps

SOCA offers a variety of summer camps and academies in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area for all ages and levels of players.  Check out the descriptions and schedule below, to find the camp that is right for you!

Summer 2024 will have a full line-up of Camps, Academies and Clinics.  Check the 2024 information on the tabs below.  2024 Summer Camp Registration for Academies & Clinics will open by January 11, 2024.

Summer Full Day Camp Programs are open in your SOCA Accounts.

 

We are excited to expand a new program from last year.  We will be offering 6 weeks of Full Day Camp at the SOCA Field House.  We will be able to offer a Swimming component to our Camp, through a partnership with Fairview Swim Club.

 

In addition to our Day Camp, we will offer the popular World Cup Camp, and Summer Academies for all ages and competition levels. 

 

Returning for the 3rd year, is our popular Summer Soccer Skills Clinic series.

Important Information

  • 2024 Summer Camp, Academy and Clinic information is current on this page.  Plan now for your summer soccer experience.  Some Programs are currently open, with all programs available by January 11, 2024.

    To allow for proper planning, camp registration closes prior to the start of each camp.  Late registrations can not be guaranteed.  Spaces are limited within each camp program.  No walk-up registrations will be permitted.  No refunds after advertised registration deadline.  All refunds requested prior to the registration deadline will be prepared with the deduction of our standard $20 processing fee.

  • Summer Academy Description

    2024 Summer Academy Info 

    SOCA’s Summer Soccer Academy has a new program for 2024!

    The SOCA Field House will host our first Summer Development Academy (SDA) in 2024.

    This experience is designed to target the development of our youth players through technical repetition and competition.  SDA will be a gender and age range specific training environment, led by Skyline Elite & SOCA licensed coaches in collaboration with returning college players.

    Players will have the opportunity 2x each week to train and play games with this player pool.  Each session will begin with a technical emphasis on improving and developing touch control and individual dribbling.

    u10-u12 Girls (2015, 2014, 2013):  Mon & Fri – 4:30 – 5:45 pm

    u13-u15 Girls Travel Only (2012, 2011, 2010):  Mon & Fri – 5:50 – 7:05 pm

    u10-u12 Boys (2015, 2014, 2013):  Tue & Thur – 4:30 – 5:45 pm

    u13-u15 Boys Travel Only (2012, 2011, 20100:  Tue & Thur – 5:50 – 7:05 pm

    All sessions will be conducted in the SOCA Field House, so no rain outs.

    The program will run 6 weeks = 12 sessions, from June 10 – July 26 (no sessions July 1-4)

    The SDA will have limited spaces.  Early Bird Registration of $115 available until May 1.  After May 1, the registration will return to $130.

    All Summer Academies take place in the SOCA Field House, central Virginia’s finest dedicated indoor soccer facility.

  • World Cup Camp

    2024 World Cup Camp Info 

     

    July 29- August 2 (Monday-Friday); South Fork Soccer Park, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm

    Fun international soccer environment for all levels of play. The World Cup Camp is a Charlottesville soccer tradition.   The camp creates an exciting and positive learning environment for players to develop their soccer skills and increase their enthusiasm for the world’s game. All sessions include expert instruction and demonstration, small-sided games, and a fun World Cup tournament format. Players receive a camp t-shirt, soccer ball, and Friday night pizza party!

    • Ages U7-U15, Coed.  Players born 2010–2018.
    • Players are placed on teams (countries) and train in essential skill areas.
    • Players grouped by age (U8, U10, U11-15) for best learning environment.
    • Matches each evening in fun World Cup format.
    • Trivia contest and prizes nightly.
    • Big Fun on Friday!  Pizza, drinks, etc.
    • Cost: $155

  • Summer Soccer Skills Clinics

    2024 Summer Soccer Skills Clinic Info 

    The Summer Soccer Skills Clinics are a skill development program intended for all players.  The program focuses on individual player development within a small group setting.  The clinic will be formatted in a unique structure, with players rotating through four skill stations each day.  Over the three clinic days players will receive training in twelve essential topics.  The emphasis is on learning important skills such as ball mastery, dribbling, receiving, passing, shooting, defending, and other fundamental skills.

    Each session includes rotation through a variety of technical topic stations.  Players will be grouped by age, experience, and ability.

    Low player-to-coach ratio enables individual attention.  All Summer Soccer Skills Clinics are three days in duration, each daily session is 90 minutes long.

    Sessions are active, fun and focused.   Players will enjoy the fast pace and variety of activities.

    All instruction will be provided by SOCA staff coaches and other selected, experienced coaches.

    Location:  SOCA Field House; 875 Belvedere Blvd, Charlottesville, VA 22901

    Registration Fee:  $75 per player, per clinic.  Great price!
