We
are please to announce the annual Blue Ridge Residential Soccer
Academy, where we are dedicated to provide Boys U8-U18 and Girls U8-U18 a
week-long, all-inclusive soccer experience that challenges, educates and
develops each player under professional supervision. This is for all
players born between 8/1/94-7/31/05. Players born between
8/1/03-7/31/05 must commute.
The Blue Ridge School is an
all-boarding, college-preparatory school located 20 miles from
Charlottesville, VA and the University of Virginia. The campus,
comprised of nearly 800 acres, lies at the foot of the Blue Ridge
Mountains and abutting Shenandoah National Park. You will have access
to the best facilities including: modern dormitories with A/C,
outstanding food service, over six acres of playing fields, field house,
pool, classrooms and a 230-seat auditorium!

Striker & Keeper Camp ($160/Player)
June 25-28, 2012
Camp located at South Fork Soccer Park
4:30pm-7:00pm
For U9-U18 Players, Coed.
This
specialized, four day evening camp emphasizes technical excellence as
the foundation for tactical proficiency. Physical and mental attributes
are further emphasized. Training in a high intensity, games- centered
environment.
Strikers spend valuable time learning the nuances of
striking the ball at goal with various foot surfaces and from various
angles.
Goalkeepers are immersed in fundamental shot stopping,
explosive diving progressions, cutting out crosses, eliminating
breakaways and more!

World Cup Camp ($135/Player)
July 30-August 3, 2012
Camp located at South Fork Soccer Park
5:30pm-7:30pm
All programs below are Coed unless indicated:
Group I USA = U6
Group I Africa= U8
Group I Europe= U10
Group II S. America= U12, U14
Group III Asia= U12, U14, Girls Only
Five
day evening camp, ages U5-U14, two-year age groups. Younger group
focuses on developing ball skills. The older players build upon
mastering ball skills and advance to include team possession, team play,
and attacking play. Emphasis is learning by playing in a fun,
games-oriented environment.
SOCA's World Cup
Camp is also held in conjunction with the University of Virginia
Women's Soccer program, Head Coach Steve Swanson and Division I
athletes!

World Cup Camp Coaching School ($79/Coach)
July 30-August 3, 2012
School located at South Fork Soccer Park
5:30pm-7:30pm
The
World Cup Coaching School is directed by SOCA's Executive Director,
Bill Mueller, USSF A License and USSF National Youth License. Coaches
will be able to pick up the most modern training methods for their
age-appropriate team. Designed to help all coaches in preparation for
their upcoming season!

Winter Camps
Winter Soccer Day Camp / WISL / Winter Academy /
Winter Soccer Day Camp ($125/Player)
December 26-28, 2012
Indoors
at Western Albemarle HS. 9:00am-12:00pm program. Small
group training and fun activities for U7-U14 boys and
girls. Players will be involved in camp activities as well as ability
groupings. SOCA's Technical Director and other licensed full-time staff
will focus on technique, games and learning while having fun!

Winter Indoor Soccer League- WISL (Jan - Feb)
2013 WISL Information is coming via your MySOCA page in the fall!
5v5
indoor program available to all players. Teams are formed in age groups
and placed in league format. Advanced and Intermediate divisions. Games
are facilitated by adults, no team coaching. January-February. There
are two options for WISL: Advanced and Intermediate. Advanced is for players and teams looking for a higher level of competition, serious play and fun. Intermediate
is for players and teams looking for a recreational, organized and fun
indoor experience. Due to the limited amount of indoor gym space
available throughout the city and county, there are no special requests
for choice of locations; thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE NOTE:
There is no guarantee that there will be enough teams in each age group
to divide them as such but SOCA will attempt to create as equitable
divisions as possible and follow the direction of the players as much as
possible in creating divisions. Players may special request to be with
another player or coach. To make these requests you should enter them
into the text box provided after you have selected this program to
register on your MySOCA account page.

Winter Soccer Academy (Jan - Feb)
2013 Winter Academy Information is coming via your MySOCA page in the fall!
Indoor
Advanced Training. This is a serious, high intensity and active
program to improve foot skills, speed of play and competition.
Individual and small group training. Six-week sessions, one evening per
week, under the tutelage of SOCA’s Technical Director, SOCA Full-time
Staff and other licensed staff. Program content will include: 30
minutes of high repetition technical training and 25 minutes of
fast-paced game play. Academy groups will be limited to 16 players per
time slot.

ATP / ATP-GK / Individual Training (IT) / Small Group Training (SGT)
Advanced Training Program - Field Players ($69/Player)
Spring ATP (U8, U10, U12, U14)
Begins: March 23rd, 2012
Fridays, 5:00-6:00pm @ South Fork Soccer Park
Mission:
the Advanced Training Program provides additional, high level training
for the young, motivated Recreational player. Training focuses on
improving individual ball skills and teaching the fundamentals of team
play using an active, games oriented approach.
- Available to all players U7-U14 (Recreational and Challenge),
- Six-week training and game program.
- Fall and Spring training offered.
- Clinic setting where half time is technical training and half is games.
SOCA Full-time Staff coaches Cory Greiner, Jason Fargo, and Sarah Curtis along with additional licensed coaches will lead players in a fun,
exciting and competitive training and game environment.

Advanced Training Program - Goalkeepers ($69/Player)
Spring ATP-GK, U10-U14
Begins: March 23rd, 2012
Fridays, 5:00-6:00pm @ South Fork Soccer Park
Mission: train goalkeepers from all programs in the specific skills of goalkeeping.
- Available to all players interested in improving goalkeeping skills.
- Six-week course.
- Advanced and Intermediate sections available.
- Instruction in fundamental, intermediate, and advanced skills. Technical, tactical, psychological, and conditioning aspects of goalkeeping are taught.
- Instruction by Goalkeeper Director- Kevin Cash, along with other GK specialist(s).

Individual Soccer Training

Mission:
provide a one-on-one (one player to one Full-Time SOCA Staff member)
specialized soccer training environment for players looking to improve
their technical development. Program is available for all youth soccer
players in the Club.
The perfect compliment to Individual
Soccer Training is the Small Group Training program which allows players
to transfer the information from the Individual Training and experiment
in the Small Group Training.

Small Group Soccer Training

Mission:
provide a small group training (3-8 players to one Full-Time SOCA Staff
member) opportunity for players and groups of friends looking to
improve their technical development. This training allows players to
train and compete in a specialized soccer training environment focusing
on fundamentals, Attacking & Defending principles, group tactics,
fitness and more! Players will compete in 1v1 to 4v4 small sided
games. Program is available for all youth soccer players in the Club.
Players must register as a Group.
The perfect compliment to
Small Group Training is the Individual Training program which allows
players to work one-on-one with coaches, train the nuances of the game
and ask coaches questions in a comfortable setting.
