The Men's Summer League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. The Men's League is the most competitive summer league and it is divided into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. Play begins in early June and concludes at the end of July. Matches are played during the week in the evening rather than on the weekends. Games are on modified-sized fields and the format is 8v8. One referee is used in the 8v8 format with no offside.
The first week of play starts June 3rd. Games are played throughout June and July and each team plays a minimum of 8 games. The cost to play is $79 per player. The deadline for TEAMS to register is Tuesday, May 07, 2024.
The minimum roster size allowed is 12 players. You must have 12 registered players by Monday, May 07, 2024, to be considered a viable team in the league. If you have less than 12 we will attempt to add independent players or merge you with another team if possible.

The Co-Recreational Summer League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. Typically, the Co-Recreational League is the least competitive summer league and it is divided into multiple divisions based upon ability.
Teams must have a minimum of two women on the field of play at all times. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. The SOCA Summer 2024 Unrestricted Recreational League is a Recreational League that consists of teams of a variety of skill levels from advanced to recreational. Although women are encouraged and eligible to play, there is no quota for women on a team and teams are primarily male. All interested Unrestricted teams should register under this program; further subdivision will be based upon previous participation and actual registration. SOCA will be in contact with Team Captains to address team placement.

The SOCA Adult “Futsal-Style” Indoor Soccer League is an exciting way to keep playing soccer throughout the year. The league will play a 8 v 8 format with 7 field players and a goalkeeper. SUMMER 2024 games will be played on SUNDAY mornings and afternoons in the SOCA Field House at Belvedere. Games will be played under modified Futsal rules with an official Futsal ball to create a fast, exciting and technical game. A single referee is used to officiate the matches.

SOCA’s Over-40 7v7 League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area over the age of 40. Players must have turned 40 prior to the first weekend of the season to be eligible to play that season (Born 1984 or before).
The league is designed to give older players an opportunity to play against peers and the focus is on clean, fun, competitive play. Player experience varies from novice to experienced players. Each team determines practice requirements. Teams may be carried over from the spring season, or new teams may enter. Play begins in early June and concludes at the end of July. Matches are played during the week in the evening rather than on the weekends, although Sunday games are possible. Games will be in the SOCA Field House and the format is 7v7. One referee is used in the 7v7 format with no offside.
